Which William Hartnell story would you most like to see completed and returned to the archives. Or at least, which story would you like to see another episode recovered from the most...
Please post in the thread which story you voted for.
I voted for Marco Polo.

Well Tenth palnet is mostly there, so I voted for the Toymaker, it was such a great idea and M Gough was excellent in the recon and epiosde four.

A difficult choice. I went for the Myth Makers as I have read the book and have always been disappointed by the fact that not one episode exists. Marco Polo is a close second.

William Hartnell at his lapel-clutching best, Douglas Camfield, the Xmas episode, the Daleks at their brutal best..........need I say more?

I went for a totally missing tale and Marco Polo seemed a good place to start as the first missing story (if not episode as the original version of Dead Planet takes that accolade!

Galaxy 4, an underrated tale. Some great moments appear there from the soundtrack, and by looking at old photos, and clips, looks interresting indeed, Want to see what the BBC did for the Rills back in the 1960's.
Lance.

It is also a story that would be much more enjoyable visually. Not only are there the Rills, but there are also those B-movie women from outer space that would be entertaining to see (or at least see in more than just that one scene that survives). The visuals for this would be a big part of the fun. On audio, it is obvious that this story loses a good amount of its appeal unfortunately.

I voted for 'The Massacre'. Haven't seen anything from this story but I love historicals and I think it would be interesting to have Steven and The Doctor without any other companion. Also the disagreement between the two would be great to see as Steven can get easily angered, and the Doctor was quite tetchy back then.

William Hartnell's Doctor was certainly quite tetchy....! I would love to see "Dalek Master Plan" again, as it was such an epic tale...with The Daleks so superbly evil....plus some moments unlikely to be ever done again now...the two dead figures floating in space...Sara Kingdom ageing to a skeleton...the Varga creatures whose one needle....turns you into one ! (lovely shot of a Varga creature...the camera pans down...it's wearing spaceman boots !).... Mavic Chen's extermination scene was most memorable....
Having said that nearly ALL the Hartnell tales were brilliant....!

I went for "Mission to the Unknown" too. Only one episode to look out for, then!

The Savages for me, a much under-rated story.
