If you find any good online forums or what have you that might reach people in New Zealand, below is the text a suggested posting you could put out there.

The BBC is searching for lost episodes of classic television shows, including Doctor Who. Currently 108 episodes of Doctor Who are missing from the BBC archives.

100 of the 108 missing episodes were sent to New Zealand in the 1960s and 1970s. Some may still exist in New Zealand as 16mm film prints.

In 1999, episode one of ‘The Crusade’ (titled ‘The Lion’) was indeed found in New Zealand and returned to the BBC.

with regards to the Macra Terror , ive been there and done that

He died in the late 80s and had sold/gave away /disposed of most of his stuff a few years before ,apart from anything that directly related to his family.......so i was still looking for them when i stumbled across the LION

secondly if we were to assume that only stuff that has been sold to a country should be included in a mail out for that country, then nobody in NZ would be looking for ANY episodes of the Crusade or Daleks Masterplan would they..! isnt this a fundamental flaw in the mailouts?....GREAT idea tho

but we apparently had a viewing print of DMP at one stage and theres also the possibility that collectors have come into NZ with stuff.....

my favorite untapped area is those people who ran businesses out of their homes transferring 16mm and 8mm to video in the early 80s untill now......ive met collectors who had 16mm prints of theatrical releases transferred to VHS and Beta ! so who knows what got copied in this country

Well, your point is well taken about what is listed and what isn't. Of course, more information can be added or just the top portion of the message can be used (for a shorter version) or the text can be reworded. These are just suggested texts for people to use directly or adapt as they see fit.

I make a point though of mentioning at the top in each posting that 108 episodes are missing at that the full list can be viewed at the missing-episodes.com link. Then I attempt to provide a country-specific list on the assumption that those are the episodes most likely to be found in that place. Yes, missing episodes could have been brought into the country from somewhere else, but then missing episodes could have been transported to Tibet for all we know. The list mentions what seem to be the most likely candidates for recovery in specific places. Every episode recovered thus far has been found in the same country where it was originally sent. Thus, I am kind of playing the odds with the lists that I've created. The lists could be adjusted as people think best.

It is a judgment call really. A more complete list may make sense to post to New Zealand, but I think it is more useful for the Ethiopia posting just to list the 11 episodes that were apparently the only ones sent there originally.

If New Zealand received viewing copies of DMP, then I will definitely add those to the list!

Richard Bignell and Richard Molesworth are disputing the idea that NZ received DMP viewing prints. It seems established that Australia had them, but what's your information on copies sent to NZ?

Yes, certainly. Yet, it is all a matter of how to phrase such postings.

An "Old Who Episode" might mean Colin Baker to some people.

If a person has a videotape or 8mm copy of a missing episode, we would also want them to contact the address, not just the original 16mm print.

The link to the missing-episodes.com list is useful since anyone can find more information there.

Again, people are free to rephrase these postings to their liking if they repost them elsewhere. They will probably need some rephrasing depending upon the place you're posting. These are more or less just generic templates.
